One "CLICK" a Day... / Midnight Breakfast

  -If Tea and Toast is probably the most popular and knowned Breakfast in Britain,or Bacon and Eggs in the U.S.,then probably the very famous "Bica e pastel de Nata" / "Capuccino and Portuguese Egg Tart", is the most common  Breakfast in Portugal.
Millions of these are served every morning in coffee shops all over Portugal...only I like my  Bica and Pastel de Nata at Midnight !
 -I call it my Midnight Breakfast. ;)

    __Here, the city of Fall River and there-abouts, there is a high population of folks with a
    Portuguese background.
    __A muffin baked there... much like an 'English Muffin' but larger and a bit sweeter; their bakers call them 'Portuguese Muffins.' I have no reason to believe they are not an authentic. Are they?
    __My wife and I often breakfast on 'Portuguese
    muffins.' _m

    Magyar friend of mine.
    I´m going to do a little research about it.
    The name Portuguese Muffin perhaps is a small pastry cake that we named "queque" over here.
    I´ll get to you soon on this...

    Suni,I have about 5 of these a day.
    Just the coffee i mean, because "Bicas" are like gunpowdwer.

    Hum... Midnight coffee... então e eu?? Até te deixava comeres a nata (não aprecio comer mas faço-as muito bem) não te dava era o cafezinho, mas podias provar ;)

    Magyar, the Portuguese Muffin is a pastry recipe from the Islands of Azores,which are also part of our territory.
    Most Portuguese Imigrants that went to the U.S. came from this islands.Especially the Island of S.Miguel in the Azores.
    So, since i am from Lisbon i am more acquainted with the local pastry, like the Portuguese egg tart.
